Second hand living room furniture including coffee table and side table in a bright modern lounge.

Second Hand Living Room Furniture, Inspected and Honest

The living room is where furniture is actually lived on. Mugs get set down without coasters, remotes get lost down the sides, and the coffee table doubles as a dining table more often than anyone admits. Furniture for this room needs to be solid, and solid is precisely what survives long enough to reach me.

Here you’ll find second hand living room furniture with the hard wearing years still in it: TV units and media stands, coffee tables, side tables and nests, console tables, sideboards, display cabinets and bookcases, plus the occasional armchair when a good one comes through. Most of it is solid oak from Barker and Stonehouse and Oak Furniture Land, because that’s what I keep finding in genuinely good nick, and there’s a reason for that. It lasts.

Every piece is inspected by me before it’s listed. Doors opened, drawers run, joints checked, marks photographed rather than hidden. What you see on the listing is what goes in your living room.

And the money? A solid oak TV unit that cost £600 new will sit here for a fraction of that. Same for sideboards, same for coffee tables. Furnishing a whole living room second hand rather than new can save you four figures without dropping an ounce of quality. And we wonder why showrooms are quiet.

Everything is one of one. If a piece fits your room and your eye, a £30 deposit reserves it. Free click and collect from Houghton-le- Spring, local delivery across the North East by me, couriers for the rest of the UK. After something specific, a corner TV unit, a particular finish? Register it with Sorcit, my free sourcing service, and I’ll email you when I’ve found it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. First off I don't do reviews, good or bad!! But on this occasion the service was so exceptional that I feel grateful to have stumbled across this small company based in Houghton le Spring in the Nort East and run by Simon. This guy is so fair and helpful, and goes "above and beyond" to make sure his customers are satisfied with their purchase. We bought 2 secondhand wardrobes from DecorDeluxe.club which were exactly as described and arrived in perfect condition, exceptionally clean and almost as new. We live in the North West some 160 miles away but even with the additional carriage costs it was a better deal than we could get locally. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. If you're looking for seconhand, make this your first port of call.
Thank you Simon.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Trustindex. Excellent Company to deal with
I found the quality oak bed frame which I required, at a price which represented excellent value.
My enquiry received an immediate response from Simon.
I arranged to view & collect the bed on a Saturday morning.
Simon was there to meet me on arrival, having given me excellent directions, and communicating with me on the morning of collection.
Having viewed the bed frame, he assisted with loading into my estate car.
During disassembly at his warehouse, a few plastic items had become damaged, but new replacements were supplied.
Having assembled the bed frame, I’m delighted with the quality, condition, & exceptional value.
The whole purchase experience was perfect from initial enquiry to collection, with attention to detail, rarely found these days.
I would thoroughly recommend this company & expect to purchase further items in future.
