Second Hand Office Chairs, the Wooden Kind Worth Keeping |
Let me set expectations like an honest shopkeeper: this is not a warehouse of ex-corporate swivel chairs. What comes through here is the other tradition of office seating, and the better looking one: wooden desk chairs, captain’s chairs with arms worn smooth by decades of thinking, leather-seated pieces that make a home office look like a study rather than a call centre.
They arrive one at a time and rarely stay long, because there’s always someone furnishing an office who wants the chair with character rather than the chair with a lever catalogue. Each one is inspected the way chairs deserve: legs and stretchers firm, swivel and tilt mechanisms working where fitted, seat fixings tight, upholstery honest in the photographs. A chair carries your entire working day; wobble is a sacking offence.
If a chair is listed below, it exists, it passed, and it’s one of one. A £30 deposit claims it before the next browser does.
If the page is empty or nothing suits, register with Sorcit, my free sourcing service, and make the hunt my problem. Tell me “captain’s chair, oak, leather seat” or “small wooden desk chair for a box room” and I’ll go looking. You get an email the moment a match lands, no fee, no obligation. Office chairs are exactly the category where being on the list beats checking the page. Funny that.
Free click and collect from Houghton-le-Spring, North East delivery by me, couriers UK wide. Pair it with a proper desk and the ironing board can finally stand down.
