Second hand Welsh dresser in oak with shelves above and cupboards below.

Second Hand Welsh Dressers and Kitchen Dressers, Ready for Duty

Nobody has ever regretted buying a Welsh dresser. It’s the most generous piece of furniture ever designed: cupboards below, drawers in the middle, open shelves above for the plates you’re proud of and the jugs you can’t explain. Kitchens were built around them for two hundred years, and the fashion for open shelving means they’re quietly back in style. The difference is that a new “dresser-style” unit is chipboard cosplay, and the real thing is sitting right here, second hand, at a fraction of the money.

The dressers that pass through are proper Welsh dressers in oak and pine, farmhouse pieces with generations of kitchen life in them, and more modern interpretations from the premium brands. Painted and natural finishes both.

The practical bit, because dressers are big: most proper dressers split into top and base for moving, and every listing here says whether yours does, along with the full assembled height. Ceiling heights vary more than people think; 190cm of dresser under a 200cm cottage beam is a problem you want to discover on this page, not on delivery day. When I inspect a dresser I check the top sits square on the base, shelves are solid, doors close true and drawers run. The ones that pass get listed. The others don’t get the chance.

Each one is one of one, and dressers with the right proportions sell fast. £30 deposit holds yours, free click and collect from Houghton-le-Spring, North East delivery by me, couriers UK wide. After a specific width, wood or a painted one in a particular shade? Register it with Sorcit, my free sourcing service, and I’ll email you the moment it lands.

Doing the whole kitchen? Larders and display cabinets are next door, and the dining room collection ties it all together.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. First off I don't do reviews, good or bad!! But on this occasion the service was so exceptional that I feel grateful to have stumbled across this small company based in Houghton le Spring in the Nort East and run by Simon. This guy is so fair and helpful, and goes "above and beyond" to make sure his customers are satisfied with their purchase. We bought 2 secondhand wardrobes from DecorDeluxe.club which were exactly as described and arrived in perfect condition, exceptionally clean and almost as new. We live in the North West some 160 miles away but even with the additional carriage costs it was a better deal than we could get locally. It was a pleasure to deal with this company. If you're looking for seconhand, make this your first port of call.
Thank you Simon.
