The blanket box might be the most quietly useful piece of furniture ever made. Spare bedding in winter, blankets in summer, and all year round it’s a seat for putting shoes on, a perch for the folded washing and a lid over household chaos. A metre of storage that doubles as furniture. Nothing else in the bedroom multitasks like it.

That last one matters; a musty box never leaves my warehouse smelling of anything at all, because it never leaves my warehouse.
