Solid oak throughout. Medium tone, warm, honey-coloured, and the grain reads clearly across every surface. The lower section gives you two drawers over two panelled doors. Open those doors and there is a wide compartment waiting. The drawers are built with traditional dovetail joints, so they stay square and run smooth year after year. Tongue and groove panelling lines the back of the piece and the base of each drawer. Details like that separate furniture that lasts from furniture that sags.
The handles are curved, integrated into the front panels rather than bolted on as an afterthought. Rounded corners, hand chamfered edges, tapered legs. Every joint, every hinge, every chamfer shows time spent and standards held.
