The metal pulls are round, plain, and beautifully direct, the sort that suit a hand better than they look in a photograph. I am Simon, running DecorDeluxe.club out of Houghton-le-Spring, and when a Barker and Stonehouse piece turns up with pulls like these, drawers that run smoothly, and a dovetail joint specification that makes flat-pack copies look like the joke they are, I do not pass on it. This one made the cut.
It is a console table. Solid oak, light to medium tone, finished to show the grain. Two drawers, side by side, built for the hallway that runs out of space or the landing that needs somewhere for post and phone chargers to live. The dovetail joints at the back of each drawer keep them square long after cheaper construction has sagged and split. The tongue and groove panelling to the base of each drawer is the move Barker and Stonehouse make when they care how something ages, not just how it looks on the shop floor. That is the standard my price lets you skip the premium for.
The legs are straight, sturdy, clean. The top edge carries a moulded detail that lifts the whole silhouette without any fuss. This is a piece that knows its job and does it well. It fits the space between the door and the stairs. It holds the things that need to land somewhere sensible. And because it is oak, properly built, it will still be doing that job a decade from now.
The condition is PreLoved and looking fabulous, in genuinely great condition.
