The frame sits broad and bevelled, oak grain showing plainly through a finish that knows when to stop. Medium tone, depth to the bevel, and when you lift it the heft tells you it is proper construction, not veneer over chipboard. This is a wall mirror from Barker and Stonehouse, and I'm Simon: I find one-off pieces like this from proper brands and bring them to the site one at a time. It made the cut because quality this straightforward is rare at this price point.
The bevel catches the light and throws dimension back into the room. Solid oak, traditional dovetail joinery, and a frame built for the long haul. No ornament, no fuss. Just a clean, broad frame doing its job properly.
The mirror can be hung horizontally or vertically, so the room dictates the shape, not the fitting. That flexibility matters when you are working with what you have rather than redesigning around a single piece.
