Let’s talk bedside drawers — not the flimsy, will-this-survive-the-night kind, but something with backbone. Something like this pair from Laura Ashley, made from solid wood and built to last more than just a few bedtime stories. These are the sort of pieces that quietly anchor a bedroom, doing their job beautifully while everything else changes around them.
Our second-hand price? A very reasonable £165 — less than a third of what they originally cost when new. And before you ask, yes — they’ve been used, but they’ve also been treated with respect. One drawer has a tiny paint chip at the very back (nothing major, barely worth mentioning, but we do full transparency here). You can see it in the pictures, so no surprises.
What makes them special? They've got traditional dovetail joints and tongue & groove paneling on the base of each drawer — proper craftsmanship details that say "quality" without shouting it. The finish is a soft stone shade, understated and elegant, the kind of thing that fits into any colour scheme without fussing about.
Dimensions are handy too — Height: 60 cm (23.6 in) x Width: 53 cm (20.9 in) x Depth: 43 cm (16.9 in). Just right for a classic bedroom setting, whether you're tucking them beside a king-sized bed or using them as compact storage elsewhere.
Now, if you're new to buying second-hand furniture — don’t worry, it's easier than you think. Add this pair to your basket, head to checkout, and choose either free click-and-collect or local delivery across the North East. If you're having them delivered, just enter your postcode and get an instant quote. Then secure your piece with a £30 deposit online, and pay the rest when they arrive or when you collect. Not based in the North East? No bother. Drop us a message before you buy and we’ll get a quote from our trusted delivery partner – wherever you are, we’ll get you sorted in style.
These drawers have already earned their stripes. No need to overthink it — they’re ready to start their next chapter with you. And trust us, they’d rather be in your home than anywhere else. You found it. Now claim it. Before someone with equally good taste gets there first.
