Most dining tables that cross my path have drawers underneath or leaves that fold out or some other complication designed to solve a problem nobody asked about. This is a family dining table in the proper sense. One hundred and eighty centimetres long, nearly a metre deep, built from solid oak with a medium tone that shows the grain without drowning it in stain. The legs are chunky, square-section columns that meet the top with dovetail joints you can see at the corners. That joinery is not decorative. It is structural, and it is the reason this table will still be level when everything around it has been replaced twice. No drawers, no shelves, no compartments. Just a clean, unembellished surface and four legs doing exactly what legs are supposed to do.
The design is modern and minimal in the sense that nothing is there unless it needs to be.
