Let’s be honest — real, beautiful furniture shouldn’t cost the earth. Especially when it already has. This Navajos 4 drawer chest from Barker & Stonehouse is made from reclaimed wood, which means every knot, grain ripple, and gentle imperfection tells a story of where it’s been — and why it deserves a second act in your home. Crafted with care and built to last, it’s not just eco-friendly; it’s soul-friendly.
With its warm chestnut finish and rich, earthy tones, this chest brings instant character to any room. The curved drawer fronts add a softness to its sturdy silhouette, while the slender metal handles give it just the right touch of industrial charm. Tapered legs lift it slightly off the floor, giving it that grounded-but-not-heavy feel we all want from proper furniture. It’s four drawers deep — two smaller ones up top for trinkets and ties, two larger ones below for everything else you’d rather not admit you still own.
And let’s talk craftsmanship. Traditional dovetail joints? Check. Tongue and groove panelling on the backs and drawer bases? Also check. This isn’t flat-pack pretending to be solid — this is furniture that was built like they used to make it. Solid, smart, and seriously good-looking.
Height: 98 cm (38.6 in) x Width: 89.5 cm (35.2 in) x Depth: 46 cm (18.1 in)
Condition: Pre-owned and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. There are a few marks here and there — nothing dramatic, nothing dishonest — but with reclaimed wood, those little quirks don’t detract; they enhance. They sit naturally within the grain, looking less like wear and more like warmth. This piece has already earned its stripes. It’s lived a little. And that makes it better.
Our pre-owned price? £185. For a brand-name, solid-wood chest that originally retailed at £689? That’s not just value. That’s victory.
