Let’s talk about bedroom essentials that don’t scream for attention but quietly elevate everything. These Lyon bedside drawers from Fortune Wood? They’re the kind of furniture that looks like it’s been in a stylish French country house for decades — in the best possible way. Warm medium oak finish, gently shaped plinth base, antiqued black metal handles, and those satisfyingly chunky drawer fronts with subtle moulding. This is the sort of piece that says “I have my life together” without ever needing to raise its voice.
Crafted from solid American White Oak — not veneer, not particle board, but the real deal — these drawers are built to last longer than most relationships. Traditional dovetail joints hold the drawers together, while tongue and groove panelling on the backs and bases adds rigidity and that quiet confidence only well-made furniture can muster. Three spacious drawers per unit mean you can actually use them for, you know, storage — not just as a surface for your phone, half-drunk glass of water, and three layers of jumpers.
And yes, they’re second-hand. But so is a vintage Rolex — and look how people feel about those. Condition? Pre-owned with a bit of character — minor signs of wear, still in great nick. Translation: this pair has lived a little, loved a lot, and hasn’t been battered into oblivion. Furniture like this doesn’t need to be pristine to be perfect. It just needs to be honest — and this is honest oak, honest craftsmanship, honest storage.
Measurements? We’ve got you: Height: 68 cm (26.8 in) x Width: 50 cm (19.7 in) x Depth: 40 cm (15.7 in). Perfectly proportioned for bedside symmetry without eating up floor space. Part of Fortune Wood’s Lyon range, they bring a touch of understated elegance to any bedroom — whether you’re going full country cottage or just want a moment of calm in a chaotic world.
Our second-hand price? £185 for the pair. Let that sink in. The original RRP was £779. You could buy one new and fund a small holiday with the difference — or, you know, just buy the pair, keep the change, and sleep soundly knowing you’ve made a very clever move.
Now, if you’ve never bought second-hand designer furniture before, let us ease your mind. It’s dead simple. Add the item to your basket, head to checkout, and choose between free click-and-collect or local delivery. If you’re in the North East, enter your postcode and you’ll get an instant delivery quote. Secure your pair with a £30 deposit online — no pressure, no fuss — then pay the rest when you collect or when we deliver. (Not based in the North East? No bother. You don’t need to sleep on it. A £30 deposit secures it — the rest is paid when you collect or have it delivered. There’s savvy — and then there’s already-clicked ‘Add to Basket’ savvy. And remember: only one pair available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. And yes, there’s a matching double chest and king-size bed frame from the Lyon range — but those are being sold separately, so don’t dawdle.
This is the moment: low effort, high return, and very limited stock.
