The handles give it away first. Drop handles with label-holder plates built into the fronts. Brass tone, solid ring grip, and that little inset frame that used to tell you what belonged where. That level of hardware detail is not a flat-pack decision, it is a proper-furniture decision, and the rest of the pair bears it out. Part solid oak, part veneered, traditional dovetail joints at every drawer box, and a light to medium oak finish that lets the grain do its work without shouting. I am Simon, and when a pair like this lands on the site at £110, I know it will not wait around. Two matching bedside cabinets for less than the cost of two new ones from a flat-pack chain that will wobble inside a year.
Three drawers per unit. Compact footprint, practical storage, nothing fussy. The square legs sit flat and true, the tops have a gentle radius edge that softens the profile, and the oak tone warms up whatever room they land in. That finish is doing exactly what oak should: showing grain, staying neutral, ageing well. And those dovetail joints mean the drawers stay square and run smooth long after lesser units have sagged and stuck. You open a drawer fitted like that and you feel the difference before you can explain it.
The condition is pre-owned and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. The tops carry some very light marks from general use, and two of the handles are broken, as shown in the photographs. Straightforward fixes if you want to replace them, and the price has been set with those imperfections fully accounted for. Transparency matters, so you know exactly what you are buying.
