That curve in the handles. Such a small detail, but it changes the whole character of the piece. Not angular, not flat, not trying too hard. Just a gentle arc in brushed metal that your hand finds every time you reach for a drawer. This sideboard turned up from a source I trust, part solid oak, part veneered, dovetail jointed where it counts, and finished in that washed oak and soft grey two-tone that works in more rooms than you would think. Three drawers up top, three cupboard doors below. Symmetrical, balanced, built to do the job without shouting about it. The light oak finish on the doors and drawer fronts sits against the grey painted frame and top, and the contrast does its work quietly. Open a drawer and you will see traditional dovetail joints holding the corners square. That is not decorative. That is what keeps a drawer running true when you have loaded it with cutlery, napkins, and the batteries that never quite make it back to the kitchen drawer. The kind of joinery that lasts.
The condition is pre-loved and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. The interior shelf needs a little attention, as it has separated slightly from its supporting block. It is nothing major and should be a fairly straightforward repair, should you wish to do so.
