This is the text to review and change: Let’s talk about what really matters — space, style, and not spending a fortune. This chest of drawers isn’t just storage; it’s the kind of piece that quietly elevates a room, the way a perfectly tailored coat does for an outfit. Designed with clean lines and a no-nonsense silhouette, it’s built for modern living — simple, smart, and seriously functional. From the Huxley range by Barker & Stonehouse, it carries that unmistakable hallmark of British craftsmanship, the sort you don’t find at the flat-pack end of town.
Crafted from part solid oak and part veneered surfaces, it strikes that ideal balance between durability and elegance. The medium oak finish glows with warmth, its natural woodgrain telling a story that mass-produced furniture just can’t replicate. And those recessed rectangular metal handles? Brushed to a soft sheen, they add a subtle industrial edge — understated, but with attitude. Sitting on a solid plinth base, the whole thing feels grounded, confident, like it was made to stay put — and last.
Height: 97 cm (38.2 in) x Width: 86 cm (33.9 in) x Depth: 42 cm (16.5 in) — it’s substantial enough to make a statement, but not so bulky it dominates your space. The six drawers are thoughtfully laid out: two smaller ones up top (perfect for cufflinks, jewellery, or that ever-growing collection of charging cables), then four generous lower drawers for everything from jumpers to jeans. Form, meet function.
Condition: pre-owned and looking fabulous — in genuinely great condition. This isn’t a piece that’s been passed around. It’s furniture that’s lived a little, sure, but it’s done so with grace. No scuffs, no wobbles, no secrets — just a well-made chest that’s ready for its next chapter.
Our pre-owned price? £195. Yes — really. That’s less than half what you’d have paid new, and honestly, you’d struggle to find something this well-built for twice the price today. This is the kind of piece people save up for — except you don’t have to.
