Now here's a bit of furniture history with a side order of charm. This Stag sideboard — yes, that Stag, the legendary British brand that dressed countless homes in the '70s and '80s — is a genuine vintage piece built to outlive trends and still stand tall when the rest of your decor cries uncle. Crafted from solid mahogany wood, it's the kind of piece that doesn't just hold your dinnerware, it holds its own in any conversation about good design.
Standing at 81 cm high, stretching 141 cm wide, and offering 46 cm of thoughtful depth, it’s perfectly sized for a dining room, living space, or even as a statement console in a hallway. Inside, the shelves are height adjustable — practicality meets elegance, just how we like it. And while it’s had a previous life, let’s not sugarcoat it: it’s got some light marks and a very slight chip on the top — check the pictures to see exactly what we mean. But if you're the sort who sees potential in patina and dreams in varnish, this could be your next DIY darling.
Our second-hand price? A mere £95 — which, given the pedigree and build, feels less like shopping and more like stealing. Quietly.
This is furniture that’s lived a little, sure, but hasn’t spilled all its secrets yet. It’s sturdy, smart, and ready to serve a new home with the same dignity it brought to the last. The Minstrel range might be long gone from showrooms, but this piece proves some things only get better with time.
