Let’s be honest — a double wardrobe that’s both spacious and stylish usually means emptying half your wallet. But not this one. This is a proper, no-nonsense, built-to-last piece from Barker & Stonehouse — a brand that doesn’t do flimsy — now living its second act at a PreLoved price of £245. That’s less than a quarter of its original £1,450 RRP. Yes — really.
Made entirely from reclaimed wood, this wardrobe isn’t just furniture — it’s a story in sturdy oak and honest craftsmanship. The finish? A light whitewashed frame with natural-toned wood panels on the doors and inside, giving it that sought-after two-tone rustic charm. And here’s the best bit — it still wears its original paint finish, just as it left Barker & Stonehouse. No over-restoration, no faux-distressing. Just real age, real grain, and real character.
Inside, you’ve got two wide doors opening to shelves and a hanging rail — perfect for coats, suits, or that wardrobe of winter jumpers you keep meaning to fold. Below, three roomy drawers offer tucked-away storage for scarves, belts, or anything that escapes hangers. The build? Traditional dovetail joints and tongue-and-groove panelling — the kind of details that say “this was made by people who gave a damn.”
It stands proud on solid bracket feet, with square black metal handles adding a quiet industrial note. And while it’s PreLoved — with minor signs of wear that only add to its countryside soul — it’s still in great nick. Furniture that’s lived a little, sure, but nothing that takes away from its strength or style.
This piece has already earned its stripes in a family home, and now it’s ready for another. Measuring Height: 202 cm (79.5 in) x Width: 107 cm (42.1 in) x Depth: 65 cm (25.6 in), it’s a statement piece that won’t dominate your room — just elevate it.
