You know that feeling when you walk into a room and spot the one piece that just makes everything click? This side table isn’t shouting for attention — it’s doing that quiet, confident thing where it simply belongs. Classic shape, clean lines, no fuss. It’s the kind of furniture that works equally well next to a sofa in a cottage in Northumberland or as an accent in a modern flat in Newcastle. Simplicity, done right.
Crafted from solid oak wood, this little number means business. We’re talking proper traditional dovetail joints — the kind that hold up over decades, not just years. The finish is light and natural, letting the grain do the talking, and it’s got that warm, lived-in glow that only real wood can pull off. Squared legs keep it grounded (literally and aesthetically), and there’s a gentle curve in the apron beneath the shelf that adds just enough softness to stop it being too rigid. Functional? Absolutely. With an open shelf underneath, you’ve got space for a stack of well-thumbed magazines, a small houseplant, or that ever-growing pile of remote controls.
Condition? Pre-loved and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. There’s a very faint cup mark on the tabletop — so subtle it only shows up if you catch the light just right. We mention it because we believe in full transparency, even when it’s barely worth noting. This isn’t damaged — it’s lived. And honestly, that’s part of the charm.
Our second-hand price? £50. Yes — really. For context, the original RRP was £249. That’s not just savings, that’s smart shopping. This is furniture that’s already earned its stripes, offering all the quality without the eye-watering price tag.
