Let’s talk about what really matters when it comes to furniture — character, quality, and not having to remortgage the house just because you want something beautiful. This TV stand from Oak FurnitureLand’s Canterbury range is all three. Solid oak through and through — yes, even in the drawer bases and backs, because corners are for amateurs — it’s built like a proper piece of furniture should be. No flimsy MDF here, no hidden plywood pretending to be something it’s not. Just honest, hard-working craftsmanship with traditional dovetail joints and tongue-and-groove panelling that quietly whisper, “I’m going to outlast your Netflix subscription.”
It’s got presence without being showy: clean lines, a softly moulded cornice on top, and those gently flared feet that say “classic” without tipping into fussy. The natural oak finish lets the grain do the talking — warm, mid-tone, alive — while the antiqued black metal handles bring just enough contrast to keep things interesting. There’s an open shelf above two generous side-by-side drawers, perfect for stashing remotes, games consoles, or that stack of DVDs you still haven’t digitised (no judgment). And bonus? Cable exit holes in the back mean you can finally stop pretending the tangled mess behind your telly is ‘industrial chic’.
Our pre-loved price is £95 — yes, really. For context, this same style originally retailed at £429. That’s not just saving money, that’s reclaiming value. The condition? Pre-loved, and looking fabulous — in genuinely great condition. This isn’t a piece that’s been knocked around by time; it’s one that’s had a good home and is ready for another. Furniture that’s lived a little, but still has decades of life left in it.
Measurements: Height: 62 cm (24.4 in) x Width: 102 cm (40.2 in) x Depth: 50 cm (19.7 in). Compact enough for smaller living rooms, smart enough to elevate any space. Whether you’re tucking it into a corner or anchoring your lounge, it does the job without fuss.
