Let’s talk about the real hero of bedroom storage — and no, it’s not that pile of clothes on your chair. This Double Chest of Drawers from Oak Furniture Land’s now-discontinued Shay range is a quietly confident piece that knows its worth. It’s sturdy, sophisticated, and just the right amount of stylish — think almond grey paint with rustic oak tops, jaunty turned legs, and those oh-so-sleek dark brassy round handles.
Built to last from solid oak wood, this chest means business. Traditional dovetail joints? Yes. Tongue & groove paneling to the back and base of each drawer? You betcha. This isn’t just furniture — it’s craftsmanship with staying power. And while the Shay range has long since been discontinued by Oak Furniture Land, making each piece highly sort after, we’ve got one here ready to start its next chapter in your home.
Our second-hand price is £225 — less than half the original RRP — and every penny saved still buys you proper quality. The condition? Second-hand, with some signs of wear, however, still in great condition. Which is just a posh way of saying it’s lived a little, but nothing that takes away from its charm or usefulness.
Height: 78 cm (30.7 in) x Width: 140 cm (55.1 in) x Depth: 43 cm (16.9 in). Big enough to hold all your linens, out-of-season jumpers, and that mysterious collection of single socks — yet sleek enough not to dominate the room.
Now, if you're new around here, don't panic — we make buying second-hand as smooth as butter on warm toast. Just add the item to your basket, head to checkout, and choose between free click-and-collect or local delivery. If you’re local to the North East, enter your address and get an instant quote. Secure the piece with a £30 deposit online, then pay the rest when it’s time to collect or have it delivered. Not based in the North East? No bother. Drop us a message before you buy and we’ll get a quote from our trusted delivery partner – wherever you are, we’ll get you sorted in style.
You don’t need to sleep on this decision. A £30 deposit locks it in — and trust us, someone else with equally good taste might already be clicking ‘Add to Basket’ as we speak. Don’t miss out on something this smart, this well-built, and this charming for your space.
