The round metal knobs sit well in the hand, and the gentle moulding along the top edge lifts this chest clear of flat-pack approximations. Oak FurnitureLand does not do shortcuts in places nobody sees. I'm Simon. I hunt down one-off pieces from proper UK brands, and when a chest like this turns up with tongue and groove panelling running the full width and height of the back in proper oak, it makes the cut. Now it is here.
Seven drawers. Three narrow ones across the top, then two wider rows below, all in the same gentle grey with round metal knobs. The top is solid oak left natural, so you get the warmth of the grain against the cooler paint. That contrast does its work quietly. The whole piece rests on rounded bun feet with a shaped base that lifts it just clear of the floor, and there is gentle moulding along the top edge.
Open a drawer and you will find dovetail joints holding the corners square. Tongue and groove panelling lines each base. Those are not decorative choices. They are the methods that keep drawers running true for years, with no sag and no rattle. Oak FurnitureLand builds to that standard across its ranges, and you notice it in daily use.
The condition is second hand and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. There is some very slight sun fading in places, which has caused a subtle variation in the tone of the finish across the front and sides. It is very difficult to notice and only affects a small area, but for complete transparency, I always mention any imperfections I can see. The grey stays even and soft across the rest of the piece, and the oak top has aged exactly as oak should.
At £195, this is furniture that costs several times that price bought new from retailers of Oak FurnitureLand's standard. You are getting solid oak construction, proper joinery, and a finish that sits comfortably in both traditional and contemporary bedrooms. My second hand price is £195.

Every piece here is one of a kind, so if you have arrived and this one has already been snapped up, or it is simply not quite right, Sorcit is the answer. Click the Sorcit link at the top of any page on this website, tell me what you are looking for, and I go out and source it for you. The moment a match is found, you will get an email. Completely free, no obligation to buy.
£30 secures it. Only one of this chest exists, and once it is gone, it is gone. At this price, with this build quality, it is unlikely to hang around.
