This is the Bosco TV stand from Ercol. Part solid oak, part veneered, finished in a light oak colourway with a clear matt lacquer that protects the timber without hiding it. The grain reads clean, the tone stays warm, and the whole thing sits on straight solid legs that do their job without fuss. Minimalist in the best sense. No ornament, no distraction, just proportion and material doing the talking.
One open shelf at the top for your set-top box, media player, whatever needs air and access. Two deep drawers below for everything that does not. Cable openings cut into the back keep the wiring tidy, and those curved finger joints appear again at the top corners of the cabinet and across every drawer front. Ercol calls them finger joints. They are visible proof of how the piece is put together, and they are there because the maker wanted you to see them.
The drawers pull smooth, close square, and will stay that way. Traditional dovetail joints at every corner. That is joinery that holds for decades, not seasons. Furniture built like this does not sag, does not wobble, does not need replacing in three years when the runners give out. It just works.
