This is a display unit that does its job completely. Two glass-fronted doors open to reveal four shelves, two of them adjustable so you can arrange the height to suit what you're actually displaying. The other two are fixed, giving the frame its structure. Below the cupboard sits a single wide drawer, deep enough to be useful, built with those same dovetail joints that will keep it running square for decades. Medium oak tone, natural grain showing through, solid oak construction from end to end. The sort of piece that looks good in a sitting room, a dining room, or anywhere you need honest storage that doesn't apologise for itself.
The design carries traditional appeal without tipping into fuss. Crown moulding at the top, round metal knobs on the doors and drawer, and a gently curved plinth base that lifts the whole thing just enough to give it presence. The finish is warm, the proportions are right, and the build quality is the kind that improves rather than hides with age.
Barker and Stonehouse made this to last, and it has. The condition is PreLoved and in great condition, with a few honest imperfections. Inside, on the bottom shelf, there is a slight mark, not noticeable from outside, but for total transparency, I explain any imperfections I can see. It doesn't affect the function, and unless you're crouched down peering into the cupboard, you won't notice it. The rest of the piece is clean, solid, and ready to go.
