The two drawers below and one open shelf above: that is the shape. A flat top wide enough to take anything up to a fifty inch screen. The shelf has a cable hole cut at the back, so connections stay tidy and nothing shows. Oak Furniture Land's Canterbury range builds TV stands with solid oak through every surface you can see and plenty you cannot, dovetail joints at every corner, tongue and groove backs and bases. I'm Simon, and when a piece like this surfaces at less than a third of what it sold for new, the only question is whether it will still be here by the time you read this.
The medium oak finish has warmed beautifully, and the grain runs clean and honest across every panel. Rounded corners at the top and base, framed detailing on the sides, black metal handles that sit flat and pull smooth. It is a look that made sense twenty years ago and still does now, because the design never chased a trend in the first place.
Canterbury pieces were built to a standard most flat pack operations would not recognise. Solid oak in the drawer bases. Solid oak in the backs. Solid oak runners, which is frankly absurd in the best possible way, because nobody sees them and they do the job anyway. That is the difference between furniture that lasts and furniture that lasts until you move house. And those dovetails at the drawer corners are not decorative. They lock the joints square under tension, so drawers that slide true today will still slide true in a decade.
The original retail price was £479.99. My pre-loved price is £115. That is a £364.99 saving, 76% off a piece that has not started wearing out yet and will not for a very long time. You could spend five times this amount on something new with veneered chipboard hidden inside and plastic feet that crack if you look at them wrong. Or you could spend £115 on a TV stand built from materials that improve rather than degrade.
The condition is pre-loved and looking fabulous, in genuinely great condition.

Only one of these exists. £30 secures it. At this price, with this much solid oak doing the work, it is not going to sit around waiting.
