This is the text to review and change: Let’s talk about space — and smart storage. This isn’t just a desk. It’s a multitasking marvel disguised as solid oak elegance, born under the quietly legendary craftsmanship of Barker & Stonehouse. Whether you’re building a sleek home office, carving out a dressing table nook, or just need a proper surface that doesn’t look like it belongs in a corporate dungeon, this one pulls double duty with zero fuss.
Pre-owned, however, in great condition — and honestly? You’d struggle to tell it’s lived a life at all. The oak is rich, warm, and built like it means business. Traditional dovetail joints hold the drawers together — that’s old-school durability, not just glued corners pretending to be sturdy. Tongue and groove panelling runs along the back and base of each drawer, because even the bits you don’t see were done properly. This piece has already earned its stripes.
Now, here’s where it gets clever: pull the drawer at the front, and you’ve got a hidden compartment deep enough to stash a full laptop or keyboard and mouse. Leave your monitor on top, keep the wires and tower out of sight, and boom — clean, calm, clutter-free. It’s like magic, but better: it’s thoughtful design.
Dimensions? Height: 79 cm (31.1 in) x Width: 150 cm (59.1 in) x Depth: 55 cm (21.7 in) — generous without dominating the room. Whether you’re typing, applying eyeliner, or drafting your next novel, it gives you room to breathe.
Our pre-owned price is £175 — that’s saving 79 % off the original £850 RRP, for a piece that looks and feels like it should cost every penny of it. Furniture that’s lived a little, sure — but mostly it’s just been well-loved and gently used, exactly as good things should be.
