Those recessed handles are carved straight into the oak so the drawer fronts stay clean. Not bolted on top like an afterthought. That kind of detail costs extra when it is spec'd new, and here it comes included in a desk now selling for a fraction of what it cost in the showroom. I'm Simon, and when something from a range as well-made as Oak Furnitureland's Copenhagen turns up at this price, with this much storage and this little compromise, it does not hang around long. The Copenhagen collection is being phased out now, with only a few pieces still sold new. This desk itself has been fully discontinued. You will not find it on the Oak Furnitureland site any more. The only way to get one now is the pre-owned market, and that makes this particularly worth attention for anyone building or finishing a Copenhagen set.
Five drawers and a cupboard give you space for papers, chargers, notebooks, all the small chaos that gathers around a working desk. Two shallow drawers at the top for the everyday reach. A deep drawer beneath each of those. Three more stacked down the right side. The cupboard sits left, door hinged cleanly, offering hidden bulk storage. It is storage designed around how desks actually get used, not around how they photograph.
Solid oak throughout, with traditional dovetail joints holding the drawers square and tongue and groove panelling lining the backs and bases. That is old-school construction, the kind that stays tight and true long after cheaper joinery has cracked or sagged. The finish is a light to medium natural oak, warm grain visible under a smooth matte surface that lets the material do the talking. Rounded corner posts, gently tapered legs, a modest moulded edge along the desktop. Understated rather than showy, and better for it.
This sold new for £800. My pre-owned price is £195. That is £605 in your pocket, a 76% saving on a desk built to proper furniture standards. The condition is pre-owned with a bit of character, minor signs of wear, still in great nick.

Only one exists. Once it is gone, the Copenhagen desk is gone from the pre-owned market until another surfaces, and at £195 for a discontinued piece from a premium range, I would not bet on it being here long. £30 secures it.
